VOIP in Brief
Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) is usually used term for a joint group of transmission of communication such as voice to communicate over IP based networks. One of the best examples of IP based network is Internet. There are also some other packet-switched networks present. Voice over IP has been implemented using various technologies. These implementations are both proprietary and open protocols and standards. The Examples of such technologies for Voice over IP includes SIP, IMS, RTP and H.323.
There are so many advantages of VoIP. They include Low cost, Low Taxes, Portability, flexibility and video conferencing. VoIP enables advanced bandwidth capabilities and improved video-conferencing and at a reasonable price. VoIP has got ability to transmit multiple telephone calls over a single broadband connection which eliminates need of extra lines. VoIP facilitates secure phone calls. For secure Phone calls it uses standardized protocols. The example of such protocols is Secure Real-time Transport Protocol. Traditional telephone network has most difficulty in implementing this facility.
Voice over IP is the latest application that has came across in this global world which offers you millions of reason to stick to it. By default VOIPover3g is configured to trick the application store but you can edit the setting. If you install it, you won’t have any icon on your springboard. To configure a setting select a “more information” from link application, where everything is explained. Another problem is routing Voice over Internet Protocol traffic by network and firewalls translators. Skype utilizes a protocol of proprietary to handle calls by another Skype peers, allowing crossing symmetric firewalls and VOIP. Other method to cross NATs include utilizes protocols such as ICE or STUN.
The main problem of VOIP is security as compared with other internet technologies such as identity, malware, viruses, spamming, call tempering, service theft and many more.
VOIP don’t provide the functionality of emergency calls like 911 because its not bound by regulations so none of them follow it. Despite some companies are trying to accomplice with the same. Since it’s not a wireless device, you have plug your modem to electric power to get it started if there is a power interruption you can’t use it at all.
